I just migrated my blog once again. After a few months with an org-mode site config and a simple blog with Contao, I decided to give wagtail a try. What is it this time? Not quite sure, but I felt like it was time to move on. Some of the things that sold it for me:
- built on top of Django and the batteries included admin is a timeless masterpiece with barely any Javascript or whatsoever, totally functional and does a decent job as a CRUD interface
- got sick of tons of code, deep folder structures and people who force me to create rocket science out of everything, the beauty of Python is unmet
- want to build some web applications
- sqlite FTW
I'll definitely be flying this bird for some time, for sure.
