I’ve got a new gpu. The myth, the legend, RX 580!
From a user’s perspective, it is the much better choice to go AMD on anything GNU/Linux. It just works out of the box, well sort of. There are two things I’ve had to deal with:
- set
ozone-platform-hint=autoinchrome://flags - force the performance level to prevent DPM issues
amdgpu_top shows it is only using 8 watts most of the time.
